Meeting / Marksmanship Practice
The day started off with a short meeting. The first order of business was to elect a Captain, Medical Officer, and Safety Officer. Each candidate ended up running unopposed, so the positions were immediately filled.
Other topics of discussion at the meeting were changes to the JCV Charter, upcoming training, and a discussion of next years training schedule.
After the meeting, we moved to the range to practice some marksmanship. The range session was informal, and everyone seemed to have fun tossing rounds downrange.

Navigation / Patrol Training
The day began with a short classroom session where we discussed different types of compasses along with using them to orient a map.
We also had an unexpected demonstration on how a cellular phone anywhere near a compass can have severe negative side effects.
